On Thursday May 17th, 2018 Scootin’ Boots will be hosting an official Arizona 2-Step Competition during our regular Thursday night dance. The 1st place couple will receive free entrance to Scootin’ Boots dances for a year along with General 3-day passes to the Arizona Dance Classic, Aug. 2nd – 5th, 2018, and will be entered into the Arizona 2-Step State Championship at the Arizona Dance Classic on Aug. 3rd, 2018 at the WeKoPa Resort in Fountain Hills, AZ! A runner-up couple will receive free entrance to Scootin’ Boots dances for a month and will take the place of the winning couple at the Arizona Dance Classic and Arizona 2-Step State Championship if the winning couple cannot attend/compete. The winners of the Arizona 2-Step State Championship will earn the title of “Arizona 2-Step State Champion,” along with a cash prize!

On the night of the competition, we will still have lessons from 7:30-8:30 and will teach Arizona 2-step followed by open dancing which will include AZ 2-Step, Progressive/TX 2-Step, Night Club 2-Step, West Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Waltz, and Line Dancing with periodic breaks for competition heats. $6 during lessons or $7 during dancing – save $1 by coming early – cash/card.
